The MS in Data Science curriculum consists of 10 courses, including a capstone, worth a total of 30 credits. It combines traditional data analysis with computer programming to ensure that you are equipped with the skills demanded by the evolving industry landscape. Topics include AI/machine learning, big data analytics, high-performance computing, and cloud computing. The expertise acquired during the program can open doors to diverse and lucrative employment opportunities in finance, technology, and sciences.
As you progress through the program, you’ll learn how to use mathematical theory and perform the six steps of data wrangling (discovery, structuring, cleaning, enriching, validating, and publishing). You will also learn to write code in a prominent programming language, to clean, analyze, visualize, and create models from data. You’ll also gain the skills you need to distinguish learning problems, create and present effective data visualizations, and evaluate ethical issues using a framework.
